He has a PhD from Old Dominion University and is a professor at Slippery Rock University where he teaches statistics and testing and measurement. He has written seven books and over 100 articles. His major interests are research on academic achievement, testing and measurements, and human intelligence theory. In addition, he is interested in scientific instruments and the history of measuring time.
