Altug graduated from Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Boğazi�i University and Atat�rk High School of Science in Istanbul. Currently, he works in software R&D industry. His interests include mathematics, physics, scientific computing, artificial intelligence, brain games and social sciences.

Alkan’s achievements include the TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Science Olympiads Gold Medal in the fields of Physics, TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Science Olympiads Silver Medal in the fields of Physics, membership of Science Olympiads National Team in the fields of Physics and 35th International Physics Olympiad in Pohang (Korea) Honorable Mention.
